whoa, i’ve read a lot of great books this year | part 2

First, there was Must Love Books, devoured in a haze of been-there-done-that's, and Bookends: A memoir of love, loss and literature, which I recommend to every book lover (if you can look beyond the obvious white privilege (that even the author acknowledges)).

Book Lovers may be my favorite Emily Henry novel yet, and that's saying a lot because I adore Beach Read.

There was Marrying the Ketchups by Jennifer Close, and Very Nice by Marcy Dermansky read in quick succession. I will be digging into the backlist of both of these authors.

I read Vladimir on the kindle app after having to return my library copy without having had the time to read it. An incredible read.

The Paris Apartment and Upgrade were both a departure from the genres I normally read, and well worth the chance.

The Liz Taylor Ring read like something my favorite author, Taylor Jenkins Reid would have written.

Early on there was The Roughest Draft and Cover Story, and most recently there was The Swimmers by Julie Otsuka, which started better than it ended.

And I certainly can't forget Ghost Lover: Stories by the incomparable Lisa Taddeo.
